DETROIT, MI – Rock Connections, a marketing company under the Rock Ventures umbrella of firms owned by Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert, is doing quite well.
So well, in fact, that company president and CEO Victor You told MLive today that the company is looking to hire some 20 new employees a month. Rock Connections currently has 115 employees, all of whom recently moved from Southfield downtown to about 9,500 square feet of space in the Gilbert-owned Chase Tower.
“We are looking to hire each month,” You said. “We want to make a dent in the Detroit community and promote job growth.”
You was previously the leader of a mortgage banking team at Quicken, but also dabbled in some marketing there, which he said prepared him for the launch of Rock Connections last May, when the company had just 13 employees.
Rock Connections’ quick success, You said, is the company’s ability to thorough track its telemarketing activity and provide clients with metrics of its work. When advertising clients provide them with leads, Rock Connections then shows the clients exactly what happened with those leads – everything from how many phone calls were made to how many people ended up buying the product.
“We’re just excited to be in downtown Detroit,” You said, adding that he is originally from the metro Detroit area. “I want more people to come down here and see it.”
